Standard Bindery Work Policies
1. Judeco makes every effort to produce a quality product from materials supplied by the customer. We will test bind materials at no charge to the customer (subject to our discretion) before making a production run. On rare occasions, problems arise due to incompatibility of the materials with Judeco's adhesives and manufacturing processes. Customer submits materials at their own risk, meaning that in the event of product spoilage, under no circumstances will Judeco be liable for any costs beyond Judeco's stated price of the binding job.
2. Jobs submitted for binding that do not meet our specs are subject to additional charges in preparation for binding. (See help files Below).
3. Customer is responsible to ensure that any and all materials submitted for binding meet their quality standards. We are not responsible for quality control of the customer's printing. We will bind all materials submitted for the job unless instructed otherwise.
4. All bindery spoilage from a customer's job is retained and destroyed by Judeco in the interest of quality. In other words, we do not allow damaged or seconds that do not meet our standards to leave the shop. For this reason, the customer must provide a reasonable overage of materials to ensure final count of the finished product. Extra covers are needed for setup, Spoilage rarely exceeds about 5%.
5. We will invoice for the final count of books finished in the binding process, which may be within 10% over or under the stated amount on the order. Customers are advised to compensate for this possibility by providing adequate materials to be sure they receive an adequate number of books to meet their needs.
6. We like to display samples of customers' books that we have bound as part of our advertising and promotional campaign. Please notify us if you do not wish to allow this practice with your work.
7. Prices and specifications are subject to change. Bid prices are good for 30 days.
8. All shipping and transportation of goods and materials is the responsibility of the customer. All prices stated are F.O.B. at Judeco's production facilities near Junction City, Oregon.
